Ai-Yue - 愛樂 ( Love for music ) is our name. Founded in May 2000, the Silicon Valley Ai-Yue Chorus ( SVAY ) is a nonprofit music society with emphasis on choral presentation. Our members are professionals from the Silicon Valley area, mostly with Chinese ethnic background. We celebrate our culture and ethnicity through singing and fellowship; we engage in community services by supporting local musical activities, and by promoting interests in Sino-American cultural integration. Care for members is our precept, industry our attribute, and quality our maxim. Fourteen of our members and our artistic director initiated SVAY’s first chapter in the summer of 2000. From a group with only one alto then, we have now become a choral society with over 50 well trained voices, and are growing. Currently Prof. Jindong Cai ( 蔡金冬） is our music director and conductor. 硅谷愛樂合唱團成立于2000年5月，现有团员50多人. <愛樂>是美國加州灣區華人最優秀的業余合唱團之一, 團員們大多是來美不同年代的留學生, 他们是硅谷高科技领域的专业人士, 又是热爱合唱艺术的音乐人才。 他們始終與中國的歷史，文化有著難以割舍的聯系。多年來，合唱團形成了朴實高雅、豪邁細膩的獨特風格，能夠较準確地詮釋不同時期、不同風格的合唱作品。同時為繁榮華人華僑社團文化活動，發揚和宣傳合唱事業，促进东西方文化交流提供一個展示的平台。
